ABOUT ME

Let me first start by saying thank you for visiting Mathewson Artistry. This is the place where the essence of the Divine Creator’s beauty is captured in photographic stills, the stroke of a paintbrush, the wave of charcoal over paper or interior design visions brought to life within an environment.

I live passionately and consciously through a deep awareness and unity with the Divine Creator who has in turn bestowed upon me creative talents by. which I share with the world. Though, I create as Mathewson Artistry, I cannot help but pay tribute and gratitude for the Creator Within everything who speaks to me through the language of Beauty.

It is my hope when you gaze upon my art or walk through one of my Interior Design spaces, the spark of the divine, captured with the eyes to see beauty, speaks deeply to your eternal soul, and resonates this one eternal truth - we are all connected through unconditional LOVE.

My name is Rachelle Mathewson, I am an artist, photographer, Interior Designer and occasional storyteller. I was raised in the small town of Oakdale, California - where cowboys still roam and loving family traditions mold the community. After high school, I ventured to Southern California to San Diego, where I earned my degree in Fine Arts, Interior Design and Architecture, at the accredited Design Institute of San Diego (DISD).

During college and the 25 years following, I worked as a professional Interior Designer in the Corporate Industries of San Diego and Silicon Valley, designing and furnishings hundreds of multi-level buildings to some of the biggest industry leaders on the planet. All the while, I painted, crafted, photographed and created works of art as way to keep my eyes and hands attuned to the creative connection between myself and God.

Following the 2020 world pandemic and some heavy family and financial situations, my soul cracked wide open and Gods Love filled me in a way where it was liken to an empty well suddenly spilling over. The spill over birthed this business - Mathewson Artistry and The Creator Within. One day in the near future these two names will be seperate business but for now they are united as one.
